Subject of the Plenary Conference and Discussion Panel: Poland as a service and repair HUB for the aviation sector: challenges, problems, and development perspectives.

Poland is increasing focus on strengthening and modernising the Polish army. In this context, but also in scope of civil aviation, the numbers of orders for aviation equipment and technologies placed with external manufacturers are growing. However, servicing and repairing equipment purchased abroad seems to be a strategic Polish interest so that the technical know-how and infrastructure help us stop relying on external suppliers. This process of development in the Polish aviation industry should involve extensive cooperation among industrial plants, research and development institutions, and academic centres and must be stimulated by and supported with appropriate policies and activities of Polish legislators and executive authorities.
